Description
American Traveler is hiring a Rapid Response RN for the Emergency Department, requiring BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI certifications along with an active MO or compact RN license.
Details
- Emergency Department setting with 40+ beds and a staff of 120+ across day and night shifts
- Patient ratio of 4:1 (3 rooms and 1 hall bed during high volume periods)
- Uses cardiac monitors, EKGs, ultrasound, Belmont Rapid Infuser, IO drills, and Lifepak devices
- Documents using the Meditech EMR system
- Performs IV starts, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring/interpretation
- Works a 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM shift schedule
- 6-week assignment length
- No RTO or special scheduling accommodations available
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI (CPI required by 9/30)
- 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required
- Adaptability and strong team collaboration skills required
- High pressure experience and prior medical experience (RN, Medic, Technician) preferred
- No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- Two professional references required for Missouri assignments
Additional Information
- Best suited for outgoing candidates who remain positive under pressure
- Scrub dress code: gray scrub top with black or gray scrub bottoms; colored t-shirts allowed under a nursing scrub jacket or hospital-approved jacket
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
