Milwaukee, WI – Radiologic Technologist (Surgery + Fluoro | Level III Trauma | Call Required)

 

Quick Glance:

  • Schedule: 5x8s (flex start times based on department needs)
  • Shift: Day Shift (flex within ~1–1.5 hours)
  • Call: 1 call shift per week required
  • Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Setting: Acute Care / Surgical / Fluoroscopy
  • Experience: 2+ years acute or surgical experience required
  • Patient Volume: ~15–20 patients per tech/day
  • Systems/Equipment: EPIC, McKesson PACS, GE/Fuji/Del Medical, GE C-arms & Medtronic O-arms

Scope of Role:

  • Perform diagnostic radiography across inpatient, outpatient, ED, and procedural settings
  • Support surgical and fluoroscopic procedures in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, radiologists, and surgical teams
  • Deliver high-quality imaging across a wide range of patient populations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general X-ray and portable imaging exams
  • Assist in surgical cases including ortho, spine, and general procedures
  • Support fluoroscopy procedures such as ERCPs, bronchoscopies, urology, and pain management
  • Operate C-arm and O-arm equipment in procedural settings
  • Ensure patient safety, positioning, and image quality standards
  • Accurately document imaging in EPIC and PACS systems
  • Maintain equipment readiness and adhere to department protocols
  • Participate in call rotation and weekend coverage

Must-Have Credentials:

  • ARRT (R) certification
  • Active Wisconsin state license
  • BLS (AHA)
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care or surgical radiology experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong OR and procedural experience
  • Comfortable with C-arm and O-arm use
  • Experience with high-acuity, high-volume hospital settings
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a large team

Patient Population:

  • Inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department
  • All age groups (minimal pediatrics)

Work Environment:

  • Large, fast-paced department with high patient acuity
  • Dedicated support including lead techs and 24/7 radiologist coverage
  • Collaborative, team-oriented culture

Additional Details:

  • No floating required
  • Orientation includes hospital onboarding and ~1 week in department
  • One holiday required per assignment
