We're seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist to join the imaging team at UNC Health Pardee. This assignment offers the opportunity to work with advanced imaging equipment across multiple patient care settings while supporting a growing healthcare system recognized for outstanding quality and patient care.

From routine diagnostic imaging and fluoroscopy to surgical C-arm procedures and outpatient imaging services, you'll gain exposure to a diverse range of cases while working alongside a collaborative team dedicated to delivering exceptional outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Perform routine diagnostic X-ray examinations for inpatient and outpatient populations
  • Assist with fluoroscopy procedures and C-arm imaging in the OR, Endoscopy, and Pain Management departments
  • Perform portable radiography exams throughout the hospital
  • Support outpatient imaging services including X-ray, DEXA, and fluoroscopic arthrogram procedures
  • Review and interpret imaging orders to ensure appropriate exam protocols
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures while educating and reassuring them throughout the process
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and PACS systems
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety and quality standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Requirements

 

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

ARRT (R) Certification Required

✅ Experience performing diagnostic X-ray procedures independently

✅ Strong understanding of radiographic anatomy and imaging principles

✅ Experience interpreting radiology orders and selecting appropriate imaging protocols

✅ Current BLS Certification required by start date

✅ Experience with fluoroscopy and portable imaging preferred

✅ Experience with PACS preferred

✅ EPIC experience preferred

✅ Ability to work evening shifts:

  • 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM or
  • 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

✅ Must meet all facility onboarding and credentialing requirements
