Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights; 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved school of Radiologic Technology or verification from an ARRT approved program with a scheduled graduation date. Technologists hired before graduation must have indirect supervision until degree verification, and cannot work in an outpatient setting until ARRT certification is obtained. Minimum 2 years of experience required. Valid ARRT certification and state license (if applicable). Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, PA Act 73, Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) for applicable states.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a diagnostic radiography setting and familiarity with complex imaging equipment.
  • Additional Information: The technologist will perform a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment to utilize prescribed ionizing radiation effectively. Responsibilities include administering PO and rectal contrast as ordered, ensuring patient safety and proper identification, documenting procedures in electronic medical records, and maintaining accurate coding and archiving. Ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members, demonstrate professionalism, and adhere to departmental protocols is essential.
