Pay: $3,730 per week

Shifts: 4x10hrs, Days; weekends, holidays, on call/callback per unit needs

Key Responsibilities of the SMH Interventional Radiology Rad Tech

• Demonstrate competence in selecting exposure factors and producing radiologic images of diagnostic quality
• Work cooperatively with department members to resolve problems expediently
• Display flexibility, team spirit, compassion, and respect when interacting with customers
• Administer oral contrast as needed per exam
• Instruct and prepare patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic examinations and assist Radiologist during procedures
• Operate all x-ray equipment, CR, and DR systems proficiently
• Report equipment malfunctions to manager or lead
• Complete assigned procedures in a timely manner and assist in clerical duties and stocking
• Maintain medication security to authorized personnel only
• Use Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS competently
• Participate in hospital performance improvement activities

Requirements of the SMH Interventional Radiology Rad Tech

• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Two (2) years of experience
• Licensing in the state of NY
• Neurosurgery/Neuroscience experience
• ARRT certification
• VIR experience is nice to have
