Key Responsibilities of the Interventional Radiology Technologist- Select exposure factors, position patients, and produce diagnostic quality radiologic images
- Work cooperatively with department members to resolve problems expediently
- Instruct and prepare patients for examinations and assist Radiologist during procedures
- Operate and maintain equipment, reporting malfunctions
- Complete procedures timely, assist with room turnover, and aid others when necessary
- Ensure medication security and authorized access only
- Provide healthcare services competently across all age groups
- Demonstrate proficiency in interpersonal relationships across all age groups
- Use Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS competently
- Participate in hospital performance improvement activities
- Maintain confidentiality and good phone etiquette
Requirements of the Interventional Radiology Technologist- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
- Two (2) years of experience in the field
- NYS License (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- ARRT certification
- VIR Certified - preferred
