Job Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic X-ray and radiographic examinations as ordered by physicians.
Prepare and position patients correctly for imaging procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
Operate X-ray and other radiology imaging equipment according to facility protocols.
Follow radiation safety procedures and ALARA principles to minimize patient and staff exposure.
Review patient history and verify exam orders before performing procedures.
Obtain high-quality diagnostic images and ensure proper positioning and image quality.
Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals during specialized imaging procedures when required.
Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and procedure information.
Perform routine equipment checks and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.
Follow infection-control, HIPAA, and facility policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare staff.
