Job Summary:
Radiology Nurse in the RADIO specialty is based at a healthcare facility. This role involves delivering nursing care for patients undergoing imaging and diagnostic procedures, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and standards of care. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care related to radiology services.
Job Details:
- Position Description: A Radiology Nurse evaluates patients and assists physicians with patient care in the radiology department. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs, identifying care priorities, and developing individualized care plans.
- Performs age- and disease-specific assessments, focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status.
- Recognizes clinical and diagnostic changes in patient status and manages care accordingly.
- Provides patient education tailored to age, disease, and cultural learning differences.
- Required Qualifications: ASN education, NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License, BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications, minimum two (2) years of nursing experience in an acute care facility, radiology experience preferred.
- Schedule: Evenings shift, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week.
- Submission of active and valid licenses and certifications is required.
