Job Summary:
Radiation Therapist specializing in Radiation Therapy (RTT) for a healthcare facility in Long Beach. The position involves providing radiation treatment to patients, utilizing advanced equipment such as Varian TrueBeam and VitalBeam accelerators, and working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality patient care. The role requires adherence to departmental protocols and safety standards, contributing to the overall efficiency of treatment delivery.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current CRT license in the State of California; Current ARRT license, Radiation Therapy; Current BCLS certificate; Possesses required technical knowledge of department equipment; Video documentation system experience with Epic; Minimum 1 year of radiation therapy experience; High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience; Experience with adult acute care; familiarity with CBCT/kV/mV imaging; Experience with Eclipse (Varian) and external beam therapy, including IMRT; Knowledge of tumor localization, radiation safety, and simulation of treatment sites.
- Additional Information: The position involves floating within the hospital based on census. Candidates must present RTO requests at the time of submission and have a valid CA license in hand. Candidates are required to attach Nursys verification pulled within the past 2 weeks and provide at least one reference within the last 2 years. Modules include approximately 8 hours of Epic training and 4 hours of allied hours, completed during orientation. No Nursys hits allowed from previous permanent staff.
