Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist with oncology experience to join our cancer care team. The ideal candidate will deliver prescribed radiation treatments safely and accurately while providing exceptional care and support to oncology patients throughout their treatment journey.

Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders and treatment plans.
  • Operate linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment safely and accurately.
  • Verify patient positioning using immobilization devices and imaging guidance.
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other members of the oncology team.
  • Monitor patients during treatment and respond appropriately to any concerns or adverse reactions.
  • Educate patients and families about treatment procedures, expectations, and side effect management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and patient care in the EMR.
  • Perform quality assurance checks and ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and departmental protocols.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Qualifications
  • Active Radiation Therapist (RT(T)) license/certification in the state of practice (as required).
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
  • ARRT (T) certification required.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent oncology radiation therapy experience required.
  • Experience with EPIC and/or Cerner EMR is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation oncology procedures, treatment planning, and patient safety.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Current BLS certification (preferred or required by the facility).
