Radiation Therapist - Travel Contract

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM | Expected 36-40 hours/week | No weekends | No call requirements
Key Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments to geriatric and adult oncology patients under the direction of a radiation oncologist
• Operate and maintain Varian Edge LINAC and related radiation therapy equipment, including VARIAN TruBeam system experience (required)
• Document patient care and treatment records accurately using Cerner EHR
• Ensure proper patient positioning, immobilization, and safety protocols prior to each treatment
• Collaborate with the oncology care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered cancer treatment

Required Qualifications

• Active New Mexico state Radiation Therapist license
• ARRT (T) certification required
• BLS certification required - must be issued by the American Heart Association
• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program
• Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience
• Hands-on experience with VARIAN TruBeam system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Radiation Oncology department within an acute care or trauma center setting
• Familiarity with Cerner EHR platform
• Experience treating geriatric and adult patient populations with cancer diagnoses
