Job Details
- Required Skills & Experience: Graduation from a Radiation Therapy Technologist program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT); Radiation Therapy certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include administering radiation therapy, setting controls, assisting physicians and staff in treatment planning, constructing patient immobilization devices, and maintaining patient and billing records according to department policies.
- Performs routine and complex radiation treatments, prepares equipment and rooms, and uses appropriate safety procedures to protect patients, staff, and self.
- Ensures compliance with quality assurance procedures as per state and federal guidelines.
- Provides on-the-job clinical instruction and evaluation for student radiation therapists.
- Clinic operates from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with shift hours varying within this window.
