REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification in Therapeutic Radiology required
- California Therapeutic Radiology License required
- 2+ years of Radiation Therapy experience preferred
- Experience utilizing Megavoltage, Supervoltage, and Orthovoltage equipment
- Knowledge of:
- Simulation procedures
- Intraoperative Radiation Therapy (IORT)
- Radioactive implants
- HDR Brachytherapy
- Hyperthermia procedures
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer radiation therapy treatments according to physician prescriptions and treatment plans
- Accurately position patients and verify treatment setup prior to therapy delivery
- Operate advanced radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively
- Document treatments and maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, physicists, and nursing staff
- Monitor patients during treatment and respond appropriately to clinical needs
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and departmental policies
- Support quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance requirements
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards
- Promote a safe, respectful, and patient-focused treatment environment
