Job Title: QA/QC Specialist

Job Description

3 sites in WI, offering 178/day per diem for travelers coming over 50 miles to site!

The QA/QC Specialist ensures that all electrical installations and related construction activities on mission‑critical data center projects comply with contract documents, specifications, applicable codes, quality standards, and commissioning requirements. This role is central to maintaining strict adherence to quality expectations, reducing rework, supporting smooth commissioning, and helping the facility achieve hyperscale‑level reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily field inspections of electrical installations, including conduit, wiring, terminations, grounding, equipment mounting, labeling, and testing activities, to verify compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Validate that all electrical work is executed in accordance with NEC, NFPA, project specifications, and hyperscale data center standards.
  • Review electrical specification drawings, one‑line diagrams, schematics, and installation drawings to confirm constructability and alignment with quality and commissioning requirements.
  • Participate in constructability reviews and provide quality‑focused input to minimize the risk of rework and ensure efficient installation practices.
  • Support vendor qualification and evaluation activities for specialty systems and materials, referencing defined quality and compliance expectations.
  • Maintain detailed quality reports, inspection logs, test documentation, equipment data sheets, and commissioning‑related records in an organized and accurate manner.
  • Prepare and update inspection logs and quality documentation to track issues, corrective actions, and overall project quality status.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to provide weekly status updates, maintain issue logs, and integrate quality information with broader project controls.
  • Contribute to commissioning activities by aligning installation quality with commissioning sequencing (L1-L5), testing standards, and turnover documentation requirements.
  • Use construction management and documentation tools to manage, review, and archive quality‑related information for the project.

Essential Skills

  • 3-7 years of electrical construction experience, preferably on mission‑critical projects such as data centers, semiconductor facilities, or industrial plants.
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E, with the ability to apply these standards to complex electrical installations.
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical one‑line diagrams, schematics, and installation drawings.
  • Familiarity with commissioning sequencing (L1-L5), testing standards, and turnover documentation requirements for electrical systems.
  • Ability to maintain detailed quality reports, inspection logs, test documentation, equipment data sheets, and commissioning‑related records.
  • Skill in conducting systematic field inspections and identifying non‑conformances in electrical installations.
  • Capability to participate in constructability reviews and provide clear, quality‑focused recommendations.
  • Competence in supporting vendor qualification and evaluation activities based on defined quality and compliance criteria.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency with construction management and documentation tools such as Procore, Autodesk Build/BIM360, and Bluebeam.
  • Experience working on mission‑critical facilities, including data centers or similar high‑reliability environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for managing large volumes of technical and quality documentation.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with project management, vendors, and field teams on quality and commissioning matters.

This role supports a mission‑critical project in southeastern Wisconsin, contributing to the delivery of a high‑reliability data center environment. Work is closely tied to active construction and commissioning activities, involving regular presence in the field to inspect electrical installations and coordinate with project teams. The position uses modern construction management technologies such as Procore, Autodesk Build/BIM360, and Bluebeam to manage documentation and communication. The environment is fast‑paced and quality‑driven, with a strong focus on adherence to NEC, NFPA 70E, and rigorous data center standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
