Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Outpatient setting, requiring at least 1 year of experience and current BLS certification.

Details

  • Short-term acute care hospital setting in the PT Outpatient unit
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Occasional Saturday on-call coverage required
  • Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required for all travelers
  • Uses Cerner for charting, with prior experience preferred
  • Treats a wide range of patient populations including orthopedic, neurologic, and pediatric cases
  • Performs modalities such as cervical/lumbar traction, cryotherapy, e-stim, iontophoresis, moist heat, and ultrasound

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Manual Therapy certification preferred
  • License required if applicable
  • Pending state license accepted
  • Experience with adaptive equipment, wheelchair assessment, and taping techniques preferred
  • Skilled in patient/family education and home exercise program development
  • 2 supervisor references required

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation across acute care and outpatient settings
  • Treats orthopedic conditions such as joint replacements, spinal surgeries, and sports injuries, as well as neurologic conditions including stroke and Parkinson's disease
  • Pediatric caseload may include developmental delays, scoliosis, and torticollis
  • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this position
  • Local candidates residing in Indiana are accepted
  • Free parking available on-site
