Description

American Traveler is seeking an Inpatient Physical Therapist with 2+ years of inpatient experience in orthopedics and neurology for an acute care rehab unit.

Details

  • Acute care inpatient rehabilitation unit setting
  • Patient population includes orthopedic, neurologic, cardiopulmonary, and geriatric cases
  • Patient ratio of 1:8
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Some weekend shifts required with no on-call requirement
  • Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

  • Current CA PT license required if applicable
  • BLS certification (AHA) required
  • Master's degree in Physical Therapy required
  • Minimum 2 years of inpatient experience required
  • Orthopedic and neurologic treatment experience required
  • Experience with assistive devices, lift equipment, and specialty beds preferred
  • Knowledge of post-op orthopedic procedures including total hip, total knee, and spinal surgeries preferred

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge documentation
  • Treats conditions such as post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, COPD, and CHF
  • Max RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday allowed off per contract
  • Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
  • Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at local rate
  • Returning travelers must have a 1-year separation before being eligible to return
  • Not open to first-time travelers
