Psychiatric Technician - Inpatient Psychiatric Unit Shift Details
- 4x12-hour shifts per week
- 48 hours per week only
- Rotating Day/Evening/Night shifts
- Holidays required
- Weekends required
- On-call and callback per unit needs
Position Overview
- Provide direct care and clinical services to inpatient psychiatric patients on an individual basis
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, social rehabilitation, and psychiatric rehabilitation as directed by the RN
- Communicate effectively with patients and ensure they have access to required services
- Inform the RN of any changes in patient condition
- Participate in rounds and group therapy as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a psychiatric technician
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Psychology or Sociology
