Job Summary:
Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity available in a behavioral health unit located in Tucson, Arizona. This 6-week contract position involves providing patient care in a fast-paced setting, focusing on adults with various mental health conditions. The role is suitable for a qualified RN with at least one year of experience, primarily working nights.
Job Details:
- Location: Tucson, Arizona
- Schedule: Nights shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, active BLS certification (American Heart Association), CPI or HWC certification, at least 1 year of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health care, experience working with adult patient population, ability to pass background check
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting, experience with de-escalation techniques, team player with flexibility and strong communication skills
- Additional Information:
- Unit includes 106 beds and cares for adult patients with voluntary, detox, and behavioral health needs
- Patient ratio is approximately 1:14
- Equipment includes Code Cart, Pyxis, EKG, Vitals Machine, Glucometer
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) system used is Wellsky
- Float from patient floor to admissions department may be required
