Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit role requiring 2+ years of PCU experience and FL or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit specializing in Ortho/Spine, 36-bed unit
• Patient ratio of 4 to 6:1
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Uses Epic EMR
• Floating required, with travelers floating first and possibly to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• Nursing degree accreditation must be verifiable, or 5 years of acute care experience required in lieu of accreditation
• Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care within a high-acuity Ortho/Spine Progressive Care setting
• Travelers are expected to fully integrate and function as core staff
• Prior travel experience preferred
• All requested RTO must be submitted upfront, as it will not be approved after submission
• Orientation begins on a Friday, including an in-person visit to the facility for badge/ID
• Strict 50-mile radius rule enforced; local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates must secure full-time housing in the area rather than commuting from outside the radius
• Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start date, with no exceptions for pending documentation
