Description

American Traveler is seeking a Step Down RN with telemetry experience for a night shift position requiring an OH or compact RN license and Epic experience.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (Step Down) setting within a hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday
• First to float at facility's discretion, potentially to other units within specialty cluster or nearby facilities based on census

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Must pass an online EKG/Telemetry competency assessment prior to starting assignment
• Charge experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry monitoring
• Experience with IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, and PICC line management
• Candidates with past license disciplinary action will not be accepted

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for cardiac and telemetry patients, including monitoring and response to dysrhythmias
• Support rapid response and code teams as needed
• No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will be considered
• Maximum RTO of 14 days per contract, must be listed at time of application submission
• Local candidates within 50-mile radius are not accepted
• Previous PERM/PRN staff or agency employees not extended due to tenure must wait 6 months before reapplying as a traveler, subject to facility rehire approval
