Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) located in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This position involves delivering high-quality patient care by following established nursing care plans. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, ensuring safe and effective care within a hospital or healthcare facility setting.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts
  • Hours Per Week: 48 hours
  • Start Date: 08/24/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS certification prior to first shift, ACLS certification prior to first shift (CIRH only), and a minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or similar environment.
  • Additional Information: Performs initial nursing assessment within 8 hours of patient admission, develops individualized care plans, and initiates discharge planning from day one. Ensures accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in compliance with hospital policies. Communicates effectively with care team members to support continuity of care and patient safety. Provides supervision and direction to ancillary nursing staff, participates in team building, and maintains a safe work environment in accordance with safety policies and procedures. Assumes charge responsibility following orientation and actively pursues professional development through continuing education.
