Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility located in an acute care environment. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care for patients with complex needs, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and professional nursing standards. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based patient care for a diverse patient population, utilizing specialized nursing skills and clinical judgment while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice or a valid compact RN licensure. BLS certification is required. Experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months is preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree is preferred. Professional certification relevant to the specialty is also preferred.
  • Additional Information: The position involves direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of activities related to nursing care. The RN will participate in patient education, evaluate patient responses to care and teaching, and document all nursing activities thoroughly and accurately. Clinical skills include assessment, implementation, and evaluation based on the best available evidence. The role supports continuous improvement in patient outcomes and nursing quality indicators through active participation in professional activities and unit or facility leadership initiatives.
