Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit role requiring telemetry, ventilator, and complex wound care experience in a long-term acute care setting.

Details

• Long-term acute care nursing floor setting
• Progressive Care Unit specialty with tele/vent and complex wound patients
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hrs/week
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required in hand
• Minimum 18 months of relevant nursing experience required
• Experience with telemetry, ventilators, and complex wound care required
• Experience managing drips such as Norepinephrine and Dopamine required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for medically complex long-term acute care patients requiring telemetry and ventilator support
• Manage complex wound care and vasoactive drip medications
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates not accepted
• Former Emory or Houston permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
• Holiday coverage expectations apply with strict RTO limitations around holiday periods
