Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Flexible Night Shift 11/02/2026 to 02/06/2027. This position involves supporting ED-hold, float, and other inpatient units within a dynamic healthcare environment. The role requires a resourceful and adaptable nurse to care for a diverse patient population with varying acuity levels.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: 2 years of ICU experience or 2 years in an acute care setting; valid license; certifications including ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV med titration, and invasive line management.
  • Float: Float within scope of practice and below the scope as needed.
  • Additional Information: The RN will work primarily in the ED-hold/float pool supporting multiple units, including MSICU, CVICU, PCU, and Med-Surg. Responsibilities include patient transport across hospital departments, providing patient education, and supporting clinical teams in a fast-paced environment. The orientation includes 2 days of hospital-wide onboarding plus 1 day of unit-specific training. The RN must call the staffing office 30-45 minutes prior to each shift and must arrive on time. No holiday requests or on-call are permitted, and time-off requests are subject to approval.
