Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (observation unit) position requiring 2 years of acute care RN experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) functioning as an observation unit
• Day shift schedule, 6:45a-7:15p, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
• Every other weekend required per unit need
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provides assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for a group of patients using a patient and family-centered care approach
• Supervises and delegates to licensed and non-licensed staff, functioning as a mentor and preceptor
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and participates in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
• Facilitates patient and family education related to care, treatment, and discharge planning
• Participates in a Practice Governance model and evidence-based practice framework
