Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position available in a community hospital. This role involves providing compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients with a variety of medical, cardiac, and oncology diagnoses. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for cardiac patients, including post-cath lab procedures, and be comfortable with titratable drips and cardiac rhythm interpretation.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, at least 2 years of total nursing experience with a minimum of 1 year in PCU, current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications, and experience with trach care, chest tubes, TR bands, post-Cath Lab care, central line maintenance, and general nursing skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for patients with cardiac diagnoses such as PCI pre/post care, CHF, MI, atrial fibrillation with RVR, NSTEMI, chest pain, and oncology patients. Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred due to the high Spanish-speaking population.
  • Additional Information: The role includes floating within scope and throughout the hospital based on staffing needs. Weekend rotation is at least twice a month, with weekend nights on Friday and Saturday. The shift times are from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. Scrub color is flexible.
