Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2 years of PCU experience, FL or compact RN license, and prior travel experience preferred.
Details
- 36-bed Surgical PCU setting
- Will work across both 3E and 3W units
- Patient ratios of 4 to 5:1
- Uses Epic EMR
- 12-hour night shift schedule, 3 shifts per week
- Floating required, with travelers floating first, possibly to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license required
- DL address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
- Degree accreditation must be on profile, or 5 years of acute care experience required
- Prior travel experience preferred
Additional Information
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility, strictly enforced
- Scrub color requirement: Galaxy Blue or White
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration, as facility will not approve RTO after submission
- Orientation begins on a Friday, with remote orientation followed by an in-person visit to the facility for badge and ID
- Hard deadline for required documentation is the Monday prior to start date, with no exceptions for pending documents
- Travelers are expected to integrate into the unit culture and function as core staff
- No block scheduling requests accommodated
- Candidates must be prepared to secure full-time housing in the area for the duration of the assignment
