Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) in a healthcare facility. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, performing comprehensive assessments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. The RN will supervise nursing staff, ensure safety protocols are followed, and support patient discharge planning.

Job Details

  • Certifications: BLS Certification required prior to first shift; ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only).
  • Education Requirements: Valid nursing license and current certification as indicated.
  • Location Requirements: No specific location restrictions noted.
  • Years of Experience: 0 years minimum; at least two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred.
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Conducts nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission; documents assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner; participates in patient rehabilitation programs; initiates discharge planning and patient teaching; communicates patient status updates for continuity of care; supervises ancillary nursing staff; ensures safety standards are upheld; contributes to team activities and unit operations; and advocates for professional growth through ongoing education.
