Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a night shift position requiring an active IN or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

• Hospital-based Progressive Care Unit within Medical Inpatient Services
• Third shift, 3x12-hour night shifts
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (IN state or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and nursing rounds for progressive care patients
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and care coordination
• Collaborate with an inter-professional care team and appropriately delegate tasks to team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and pressure ulcer monitoring
• Promote a positive, healing environment through evidence-based nursing practice
