Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves providing patient care for high-acuity adult patients with cardiac and pulmonary conditions, including vent management. Candidates must demonstrate experience in ventilator management, dysrhythmia management, and working with high-acuity patients in an intermediate care setting. This position requires adaptability to float across PCU, IMC, and Med Surg units during assigned shifts.

  • Required Qualifications: RN license, 2 years of nursing experience, BLS certification, IMC (Intermediate Medical Care) experience, vent management experience, dysrhythmia management, experience with electronic health record system (EPIC), ACLS certification.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Critical Care Certification, trauma course, previous travel experience at minimum two assignments.
  • Additional Information: The unit operates with a patient ratio of 1:4 in PCU and 1:3 in IMC, with every other weekend shifts and holiday coverage as needed. Candidates must have prior employment with any Johns Hopkins Health System facility within the last year or more, and this must be verified before offer. Previous work in any Johns Hopkins facility includes staff, PRN, or travel roles.
