Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse Night shift located in an acute care hospital setting. This position involves coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process, with a focus on complex cardiovascular conditions requiring continuous monitoring and advanced nursing care. The ideal candidate will have strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills and experience managing titratable infusions, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina or a compact state, with Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year of experience working as a registered nurse in an acute care or inpatient hospital environment.
• Responsibilities: Administers patient care under a physician's direction, identifies expected patient outcomes, documents care plans and responses, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and assesses discharge needs. Maintains a safe and clean environment adhering to infection control standards.
• Additional Information: The position requires competency in clinical skills, with annual competency assessments, and adherence to hospital policies and procedures. Flexibility may be needed for rotating holidays and every other weekend shifts.
