Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurses (RN) are needed for a 13-week assignment starting October 19, 2026, at a healthcare organization in the northwest region. The role involves evaluating patients, planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care, assisting physicians during examinations and procedures, and administering medications within the scope of practice for registered nurses. The position offers the opportunity to work within a float pool across four facilities, providing flexibility and varied clinical experiences.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, working 3 shifts per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Arizona nursing license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); at least 2 years of nursing experience; Cerner electronic medical record experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required, as the position involves working across four different facilities.
  • Additional Information: This position is part of a float pool; successful candidates must be willing to float between departments and facilities, including Northwest Medical Center, Oro Valley Hospital, Northwest Houghton, and Northwest Sahuarita. The RN should be familiar with cardiac drips, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacements (TAVRs), and Watchman mitral clips. Scrub color can be any color. The unit is a step down (less acute) from ICU.
