Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit The role provides nursing care for assigned patients in a progressive care and telemetry setting on the night shift. Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing and documenting care plans, administering medications, assisting with procedures, and educating patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care. The position requires the ability to manage cardiac drips and care for patients undergoing specialized cardiac procedures.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., three 12-hour shifts per week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The assignment is 13 weeks and begins 12/07/2026.
- Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in nursing
- Registered nurse certification
- Arizona nursing license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- At least 2 years of experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and Cerner experience.
- Additional Information:
- Provides care in a step-down setting with a 6:1 patient ratio.
- Manages cardiac drips and cares for patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve replacement and Watchman and MitraClip procedures.
- Assists with examinations and procedures, performs patient testing, administers medications within the registered nurse scope of practice, and promotes patient independence through education.
- The role is part of a float pool and requires flexibility to float between departments and multiple facilities.
- Any scrub color is acceptable.
