Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in a healthcare facility. The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care by following the nursing care plan, supervising ancillary staff, and ensuring patient safety. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while fostering a safe and supportive environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification required prior to first shift. Typically, a minimum of 0 years of bedside clinical experience is expected for this role.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior bedside clinical experience of at least 2 years is highly desired.
  • Additional Information: Performs comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission. Responsible for accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses. Initiates discharge planning from the day of admission and provides patient and family teaching. Offers supervision and direction to ancillary nursing personnel and participates in team building activities to promote a positive work environment. Assumes charge nurse responsibilities following orientation and actively pursues ongoing professional development.
