Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care within the telemetry, medical, and progressive care settings. The nurse utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, while effectively communicating pertinent information to the healthcare team.
Job Details:
- Shift Time: Nights
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing; BLS certification; minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including telemetry experience; 1 year of Cerner electronic medical record experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Responsibilities include demonstrating clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective care plans, performing a wide variety of professional nursing services, and maintaining excellent communication with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
- Skills Required: EXCELLENT COMPUTER SKILLS
- Additional Information: This is a Medical, Telemetry, and Progressive Care Float position. Staff may also be floated to care for ED holds when needed. Must have ACLS and BLS certifications. RTO requests up to one week are accepted. OT is billable after 48 hours.
