Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols. The RN will collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, promote patient safety, and support clinical outcomes.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts)
- Schedule: Nights, 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift; minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience; valid nursing license; ability to work nights; Kentucky state nursing licensure; 2 years of experience in a hospital setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Progressive Care Unit or similar specialized care setting; additional certifications relevant to patient care in a progressive or acute care environment.
- Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission; collaborates with interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans; documents all assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and timely; participates in patient rehabilitation programs; initiates discharge planning and patient teaching; maintains communication for continuity of care; provides supervision and delegation to ancillary nursing personnel; assumes charge responsibility as directed; actively pursues professional development; prioritizes activities for effective patient care delivery; maintains safety standards and hospital policies; contributes to a positive work environment through teamwork and communication.
