Join our team as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a leading healthcare facility in Asheville, NC. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on patient care and recovery.

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 44 beds
• Number of Staff: 95
• Day Shift Staff: 2 CNC/Charge, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC
• Night Shift Staff: 2 CNC/Charge, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC
• Patient Ratios: 4/1 at grid, 5/1 stretched
• Type of Equipment: IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pump, Chest tube, Trachs, Patient lifts
• EMR: Cerner

Typical Hiring Profile:

• Must Have: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, Neuro and Trauma Care experience
• Preferred: Additional Neuro and Trauma Care experience

Typical Procedures Performed:

• Neuro and spinal checks
• C-Collar placement, TLSO braces
• Chest tube, PCA pump, IV infusions
• Lumber drain
• Feeding tube placement
• Blood transfusion

Best Personality Fit: Team player, patient-focused

Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Floating Areas: Stepdown units, Med-surg units

Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire - Navy blue

Unit Guidelines/Policies: Every other weekend required
