Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in a healthcare facility specializing in step-down care. The role involves evaluating assigned patients, planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care, and assisting physicians during examinations and procedures. The RN will perform patient tests, administer medications within the scope of practice, and promote patient independence through education and care planning. This position requires a registered nurse license and typically reports to a unit or department manager. A Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, starting on 09/28/2026 and ending on 12/28/2026. Work hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with a 3/12 shift pattern. The schedule includes working six weekend shifts in a six-week period.
  • Required Qualifications: Arizona license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), at least 2 years of RN experience, Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required between four facilities: Northwest Medical Center, Oro Valley Hospital, Northwest Houghton, and Northwest Sahuarita.
  • Additional Information: This is a float pool position, so flexibility to work across departments and facilities is essential. The RN must handle cardiac drips, be familiar with Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacements (TAVRs), Watchmen mitral clips, and demonstrate competency in step-down clinical skills.
