Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) located at the organizations healthcare facility. This role involves providing high-quality patient care within the Progressive Care Unit, with responsibilities spanning diverse medical conditions including cardiovascular, sepsis, wound care, renal failure, and COVID-19. The position requires adaptability to float between multiple units and support various operational needs.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS, NIHSS certifications required; 2 years of experience as a registered nurse in a similar setting; Missouri or Compact license; related clinical skills.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 11/02/2026 and ending 02/22/2027.
• Responsibilities: Managing patients with complex diagnostics like cardiac telemetry and post-cardiac cath procedures; interpreting and managing dysrhythmias; providing care for patients with conditions such as stroke, AFIB, GIB, and COVID-19; utilizing virtual nurses, 12 lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, Omnicell systems.
• Additional Requirements: Flexibility to float across approximately five units within the Medical/Surgical Intermediate and Progressive Care departments, and potential float to other metro campuses as necessary. Must complete initial EMR training modules, including EPIC, prior to start.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification, experience with sheath removal, feeding tube management, IV therapy, blood product administration, central line care, and management.
• Other Details: Virtual nursing support available, weekend shifts required (minimum of 8 every six weeks), and some holiday support based on unit needs. No local candidates within 75 miles of the facility will be considered, and candidates must meet all compliance and onboarding requirements prior to start.
