Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of Nursing; licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Experience: At least 2 years of recent nursing experience in a PCU or similar unit.
- Additional Information: Local rate is set at 72; candidates should have recent experience on a Progressive Care Unit taking cardiac patients; will consider 48-hour contract options. The role requires proficiency in clinical nursing care, patient education, patient assessment, and bedside point of care testing. Strong communication skills, interdisciplinary collaboration, research engagement, discharge planning, care planning, and performance improvement activities are essential.
