The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees to maintain clinical excellence and safety standards.

Job Details

  • Location: Jacksonville, FL
  • Position Description: The RN delivers patient-centered care by performing nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. The RN ensures accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses. Participates in the patient rehabilitation program and initiates discharge planning and patient teaching from day one.
  • Certifications: BLS Certification required prior to first shift; ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only).
  • Experience: Minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience required.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities: Provides direct patient care, supervises ancillary staff, delegates tasks appropriately, and ensures safety protocols are followed. Maintains communication with team members regarding patient status and monitors supplies and equipment to promote cost-effective, quality care. Assumes charge responsibility following orientation and actively pursues professional development.
  • Additional Information: The RN follows all hospital guidelines on personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality. They are responsible for effective time management and contribute to a positive team environment through team-building activities.
