Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while providing high-quality patient care. As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for monitoring and caring for patients requiring progressive care, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Titrate pressors as needed, demonstrating proficiency in critical care nursing.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units as required.
• Participate in day one pass/fail testing and utilize Relias practice tests for ongoing education.

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the state of Massachusetts.
• BLS-AHA certification required; ACLS-AHA and NIHSS preferred.
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center is preferred; if no prior travel experience, Level 1 trauma experience is required.
• Epic experience is required.
• Must be able to work every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for nights).
• Must have been separated from BILH for a minimum of 6 months to be considered for this position.

This position guarantees 72 hours biweekly; however, these hours do not include any on-call time worked. Please note that floating may occur in 4-hour blocks while on shift, although this is rare. The nurse-to-patient ratios will be between 1:3-5.
