Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care RN for a 12-hour night shift float pool position requiring an active MA RN license and Epic experience.

Details

  • Nursing Float Pool unit within a hospital setting
  • Progressive Care specialty with patient ratios between 1:3-5
  • Required to float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units in 4-hour blocks
  • 12-hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required (Fri, Sat, Sun for nights)
  • Weekly start dates on Mondays

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required in hand
  • BLS-AHA certification required
  • ACLS-AHA and NIHSS certifications preferred
  • Level 1 trauma experience preferred, required if no prior travel experience
  • Must be able to titrate pressors
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Minimum 6-month break required since last employment with Beth Israel Lahey Health in any capacity

Additional Information

  • Provide progressive care nursing to patients requiring telemetry monitoring and floating support across multiple units
  • Day one pass/fail testing administered covering Tele/ECG and medication competencies
  • Relias practice tests available for preparation
  • Required vaccines include COVID vaccine plus booster and flu (medical exemptions allowed)
  • Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
  • Local candidates are not accepted
  • First-time travelers may be considered but must have Level 1 trauma experience
