Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN for a night shift 13-week assignment, requiring BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification.

Details

  • Progressive Care (Intermediate Care) Unit setting within a hospital
  • 34-bed unit staffed with 44 team members including RNs, charge nurses, and CNAs
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 4 weekend shifts required per schedule
  • Floating to Med/Surg required

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent PCU experience required
  • Knowledge of non-titratable drips (amiodarone, Cardizem) preferred
  • Tracheostomy care experience preferred
  • No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Royal blue scrub attire required
  • High performer with resiliency, accountability, and integrity preferred
  • Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this role
  • No local candidates will be considered
