Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care/Med Surg Tele position requiring 2 years of PCU/Med Surg Tele experience and a FL or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a General Surgery Med Surg/Tele unit with a home base on the MS Tele floor
• Floating required to other Med Surg units, PCU, ED Hold, and sister campuses
• Patient ratios of 4 to 6:1 RN
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Uses Epic EMR
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of PCU mixed with Med Surg/Tele experience required
• Degree from an accredited nursing program or 5 years of experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing

Additional Information

• Care for a mixed Med Surg and Progressive Care patient population
• Travelers are expected to function as core staff and will be first to float, including to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the home facility
• Galaxy Blue or White scrub colors required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible, and local candidates are not accepted
• All requested RTO must be submitted upfront, as the facility will not approve additional RTO after submission
• Orientation begins on a Friday with remote training, and candidates must be in the area to complete badge/ID requirements in person
• Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to the start date with no exceptions for pending documents
