Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced outpatient surgery and endoscopy environment. This position involves a rotating schedule with day shifts, requiring flexibility with start times between 5:30 AM and 11 AM. Candidates must have endoscopy experience and be comfortable working with pre-op and PACU phase II workflows.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in an outpatient surgery setting.
Manage pre-operative and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) workflows.
Administer moderate sedation and assist with rapid patient turnover.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Monitor vital signs and manage patient recovery post-surgery.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using EPIC.

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a focus on outpatient surgery and perioperative care strongly preferred.
Experience with pre-operative care for open heart and total joint patients is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Experience in an acute care facility preferred.
