Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Pre/Post-Op PACU position requiring 2 years of acute care experience and ACLS/NIHSS certification.

Details

• Surgical Services Pre/Post-Op unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required
• Pre/Post-Op experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required

Additional Information

• Provide patient and family-centered care in a Pre/Post-Op surgical setting
• Perform assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient responses to interventions
• Deliver patient and family education regarding care, treatment, and discharge planning
• Mentor and precept staff while promoting teamwork and quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in regulatory compliance and quality/safety improvement efforts
