Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pre-Op RN for a fast-paced ASU/Pre-Op Holding unit requiring at least 1 year of recent acute care Pre-Op experience and BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in a Pre-Op Holding/ASU unit with 9 pre-op beds and 5 Phase 2 recovery beds
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Equipment used includes Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machine, Doppler, patient scale, and bladder scanner
• Documentation performed in Meditech EMR
• On-call requirement of two 10-hour weekend shifts every 8-9 weekends with a 30-minute response time

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Pre-Op RN hospital experience required
• Prior Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Experience assisting preop staff preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide Phase 2 recovery care for Urology, GYN, and other same-day surgery patients
• Support pre-op care for Surgery, Endo, Cath Lab, EP, CT patients, outpatient infusions, outpatient EKGs, blocks, and blood transfusions
• Strong focus on patient experience and communication with staff and providers
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
