Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pre-Op RN with acute care pre-op hospital experience and BLS/ACLS certification for a 13-week travel assignment in Wichita, KS.

Details

• Work in a Pre-Op Holding/ASU unit with 9 pre-op beds and 5 Phase 2 recovery beds
• Unit staffed with 8 full-time RNs, 2 part-time RNs, 4 PRN RNs, and 1 unit HUC
• Day shift schedule, 7A-7P
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Perform Phase 2 recoveries for Urology, GYN, and other SDS patients
• Provide pre-op care for Surgery, Endo, Cath lab, EP, CT, outpatient infusions, outpatient EKGs, blocks, and blood transfusions
• Uses Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machine, Doppler, patient scale, and bladder scanner
• Charting completed in Meditech
• On-call requirement of two 10-hour weekend shifts every 8-9 weekends with a 30-minute response time

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care Pre-Op RN hospital experience required
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• Some pre-op experience or ability to support pre-op staff preferred
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
