Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Pre Op Chattanooga, TN. This position provides preoperative care and Phase 2 recovery for surgical patients in a day surgery and preoperative holding setting. The role requires strong intravenous starts, moderate sedation experience, and collaboration within a highly supportive clinical team.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience; current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications; experience with intravenous starts, moderate sedation, preparing surgical patients for procedures, and providing Phase 2 recovery; proficiency with nerve blocks, arterial lines, central lines, and Swan-Ganz catheter procedures.
- Schedule: Day shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 hours per week. Shift start times may be 5:00 a.m., 5:30 a.m., 6:00 a.m., 6:30 a.m., or 7:00 a.m., based on the surgical schedule, with one closing day per week.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Assignment is limited to day surgery and preoperative holding. Blue scrubs are required. The schedule does not include weekends or holidays.
