Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Topeka, KS 66606

Start Date: August 26, 2026

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Option for 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend requirement of 6 shifts in 6 weeks or every third weekend. 13-week assignment.

Highlights:

  • Postpartum Couplet Care unit providing comprehensive mother-baby care
  • High-risk labor and delivery experience with gestations 34 weeks and greater
  • Exposure to diverse patient conditions including pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and other high-risk obstetrical cases
  • Supportive environment with Level 2 Special Care Nursery on-site
  • First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience and certifications
  • Floating to postpartum units as needed based on facility requirements

Requirements:

  • Active Kansas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
  • Current BLS, AWHONN (Fetal Heart Monitoring), and NRP certifications required in hand at submission
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
  • Competency in labor and delivery skills including fetal monitoring, cesarean section assistance, postpartum care, and newborn assessment
